Lucy Frazer visited the Great Wilbraham Primary School to talk to their newly elected Parliament.
Lucy spoke to representatives from each year group who had recently been elected to their school Parliament about the role of Government and the positive reasons for getting involved in decision making. The students asked a whole variety of questions from what inspired Lucy to enter to politics, to the role of Ministers. She learned of their campaign for football goals and ideas to encourage recruitment at the school.
Lucy Frazer said “The concept of having a school Parliament, with Minsters of Sport to the Ministers for the Environment is really inspired. It gives the children an understanding of the role of government and the people within it. I was delighted to see students engaging in politics at such an early stage.”
