Last Friday, I had a meeting with Wireless Infrastructure Group (WIG), who operate the infrastructure facility at Haddenham Water Tower which was recently damaged in a fire, to discuss how mobile connectivity can be restored as soon as possible for residents.
Conscious that many of my constituents have been without reliable coverage for weeks since the incident, I pressed WIG and its mobile operators to deliver a faster response than the initial target of the end of June.
As a result, I was told that mobile providers EE and Three would be able to fix their issues by Wednesday, and I can confirm that this has happened.
Unfortunately, other resident providers have not yet responded with the same urgency. I have made clear that they need to fulfil their responsibility to run a functioning service.
I will continue to keep all affected constituents informed of any updates as I receive them.
