Cambridgeshire Police Visit

Along with fellow Cambridgeshire MPs, last week I met with Cambridgeshire's Chief Constable and acting Police and Crime Commissioner to discuss various topics including:

Modern slavery conference in Barway

I was honoured to deliver a keynote address at a conference focusing on modern slavery, arranged and hosted by G’s Fresh in Barway.

Earlier this month in Wisbech a man was found guilty of modern slavery offences and sentenced to over 7 years in prison.

Greater Anglia and Network Rail meeting

I recently met with representatives of Greater Anglia and Network Rail to discuss problems experienced by residents across Cambridgeshire in recent months.

Visit to Maggie's

Recently I visited Maggie’s, to learn how the charity supports cancer patients across Cambridgeshire, through its provision of yoga, individual counselling, and support to children whose parents have been diagnosed with cancer.

Highfield Ely Special School Visit

Visit to CHS Community Support Services

I recently visited CHS Community Support Services at Wheatsheaf Close in Ely, to see the support and accommodation they provide for young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Visit to Ely St Mary’s

Holocaust Memorial Day

Earlier this week I signed the Holocaust Educational Trust (UK) Book of Commitment to remember those who were murdered during the Holocaust.

Visit to Cambridge United

It was fantastic to visit Cambridge United last week and catch up with CEO Ian Mather to hear about their plans for a new stadium.

King's Ely visit Parliament
