I know how vital bus travel is for so many of my constituents – especially those without vehicles of their own.
That is why the Government has recently released a further £2.3 million boost to the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.
Bus providers like Stagecoach have also benefitted from significant Government funding, including millions of pounds during the pandemic.
It is therefore very disappointing that Stagecoach intend to reduce the Number 9 service, which runs between Cambridge and Littleport.
I have called on the Mayor, as the transport authority for our area, to ensure that this doesn't happen. Just as I fought to save more than 20 routes in late 2022, I will add the necessary pressure once again.
