Lucy welcomed headteachers from across Cambridgeshire to a meeting with the Schools Minister Nick Gibb, to talk through their concerns about education funding. They had a productive discussion on the needs of schools and discussed what primary schools, secondary schools, and post-16 colleges would like to see in the upcoming spending review.
The area has been allocated a further £3.1 million (plus an additional £6m for East Cambridgeshire) in the reformulated funding formula in recent years following a significant amount of lobbying.
This is the fourth year Lucy has taken headteachers to meet Ministers and she will continue to campaign for further funding for our area.
