Lucy meets with constituents as part of the Now Climate Change Rally

Over 12,000 people from across the country travelled to Westminster for the Time Is Now Climate Change Rally last month.

Lucy met with constituents from across the constituency from Burwell to Linton to hear their concerns about climate change and discuss the action the Government is taking.

The UK Government is committed to climate change action and most recently pledged to move the UK to net-zero emissions by 2050. The introduction of a single-use plastic bag charge in 2015 has resulted in a marked change to our behaviour and wider waste awareness. From April next year there will be a ban on plastic straws, drinks stirrers and cotton buds to further cut plastic waste. Further reforms are in the pipeline.
